Enscape Impact
Enscape Impact: Building Performance Metrics For Enscape
Enscape Impact is an add on for Chaos Enscape, which brings in building performance metrics for architectual rendering. The plugin is built in partnership with global climate tech company IES and allows you to see early indications of energy usage and carbon emissions. It empowers designers and architects to optimise building performance and sustainability directly within the Enscape workflow.
You MUST have a valid Chaos Enscape Licence in order to use Enscape Impact. If you already have an Enscape Licence, we can co-term your Impact licence to your Enscape licence so that they both end on the same day. Call us on +44 (0)1206 804984.
Key Features of Enscape Impact

Fast energy modeling simulation
Quickly calculate and evaluate key metrics as you design. See the data manifested within the render, making it easier to comprehend and communicate the impact of design decisions.

Integrated workflow
Perform analysis directly within your workflow to determine the energy efficiency and sustainability of designs early in the process. Enscape Impact directly integrates with most popular CAD and BIM tools, allowing you to maintain creative flow without interruption.

Minimal data entry
Establish a baseline analysis with only a few data points, including location and building type, to access fast and actionable insights.

Dials panel
Showcase the energy performance of your building design with easy-to-read charts and diagrams that intuitively display how geometry adjustments impact performance. Comprehensive tooltips provide easy-to-understand guidance for beginners in building performance concepts.

Key Metrics in Enscape Impact
Peak Loads
Reports the highest level of energy consumption by heating and cooling systems that analysis suggests will be experienced in this project each year.
Total Carbon Emissions
Carbon dioxide emission resulting from various buildings activities, particularly related to energy consumption. High CO2 levels contribute to climate change and are a key focus in sustainability efforts.
Energy Use Intensity
This metric that quantifies a building’s energy consumption per unit area (e.g. per square meter). It helps assess a building’s efficiency and compare it to industry benchmarks. A lower EUI indicates better energy efficiency.

The Benefits of Enscape Impact

Easy integration
With a shallow learning curve, Enscape Impact enables you to prepare and run a dynamic simulation effortlessly, even without extensive training.

Data-driven decision making
Fast energy analysis provides immediate insights into building performance impact, facilitating quicker decision-making.

Increased productivity
Through a shorter and quicker feedback loop and efficient early-stage design corrections, carbon emissions, and project timelines can be reduced, as can design costs.

Enhanced communication
Designed to help architects and engineers communicate effectively, ensuring designs are both sustainable and more efficient.
