Enscape 3D Real-Time Rendering & Virtual Reality

The Enscape plugin helps you to visualize your architectural projects with a single click to discuss it with your colleagues and to present it to your customers.

With Enscape's real-time rendering technology your project will impress from every angle, even at different daytimes. There is no need to carefully adjust your perspective before rendering, just start Enscape and fly to the spots you like.

One Click To Virtual Reality

Give your customers the VR experience as if your architecture is already built: With Oculus Rift / HTC VIVE and Enscape, a virtual walkthrough of your building is only one click away.

Stop explaining your drawings – start amazing people with your ideas and offer them a virtual reality experience of their architectural project.

Share Your Walkthrough

Enscape usually runs alongside Revit or SketchUp, mirroring all changes in your construction through real-time rendering. Additionally, you can export the Enscape walkthrough as a stand-alone executable file to distribute to your clients or colleagues. They can explore your work and even change the time of day.

Panorama and Cardboard

Share immersive 360° panoramas with colleagues and clients within seconds. Enscape allows you to generate panoramas in both stereo or mono. They can be saved to a file or uploaded into the cloud, where they are accessible via a link. No special app is needed, even for cardboard.

Features:

  • Live Update - All modifications in SketchUp are automatically shown in Enscape – even during Virtual Reality!
  • Material Keywords - Enscape uses a material keyword system to add detail to the SketchUp materials. In many cases, this works out of the box if your water is already specified as water in SketchUp.
  • Section Planes - Use the SketchUp section plane to show interesting cross sections of your work.
  • Export Options - Enscape has one click functionality and updates your Enscape scene as you modify your project in SketchUp. You also have e export options such as 360° panoramas. Virtual reality functions for both Oculus and HTC Vive are also available with Enscape for SketchUp; and they are also accessible with a single click.

You're reviewing:Enscape - 1 Year Licence

Enscape uses ray tracing for its real-time rendering, and relies mostly on the graphics card (GPU).

Enscape is optimised to work on a dual monitor setup.

Enscape 3.4 is compatible with the following host applications:

  • Revit (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023)*
  • SketchUp (2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022)
  • Rhino (6.0 and 7.0)
  • Archicad (22, 23, 24, 25, and 26)
  • Vectorworks (2020 (Service Pack 3), 2021, 2022 (Service Pack 3), 2023 (Service Pack 1))

Enscape is not provided as a plugin for Revit LT as Revit only allows the addition of third-party plugins in the the full version of the software. This is a limitation set by Autodesk.

On Windows, the Enscape plugin will be installed for all of the above listed host applications by default unless otherwise specified by the user during installation. There is only one installer; users choose which 3D application they wish to install Enscape for during installation.

Note: Enscape conflicts with two other Revit plugins: Colorizer and Techviz. Please uninstall them before installing Enscape.

System Requirements

Enscape performs its renders using your graphics card (GPU), but the GPU has to have dedicated VRAM, and not shared VRAM as found with Intel Integrated Graphics chips.

A good CPU can speed up Enscape's loading times. The system requirements to run Enscape, as well as the Standalone Executable files that can be exported from Enscape, are identical.

A fast and reliable internet connection is need to ensure the Asset Library loads smoothly.

Note: Real-time rendering performance is affected by the project size, and therefore the following table provides the minimum GPU specifications that we recommend where large CAD/BIM projects are regularly being worked on. Where VR is listed, the GPU’s clock speed (processor) has more relevance than the amount of VRAM, although you should always try to use a GPU with as much VRAM as possible.

Windows OS Minimum Requirements

Windows 10 or higher
Enscape will also run where Windows 10 is installed on certain Intel Macs via Bootcamp
NVIDIA or AMD dedicated GPU with 4GB VRAM that supports Vulkan 1.1
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 900 series / Quadro M series and newer
AMD Radeon RX 400 series / equivalent Radeon Pro series and newer
4GB VRAM

Windows OS Recommended Requirements

Windows 10 or higher
Enscape will also run where Windows 10 is installed on certain Intel Macs via Bootcamp
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 / Quadro RTX 4000 or AMD equivalent (eg. Radeon RX 5700 XT)
6GB VRAM

Windows OS VR Requirements

Windows 10 or higher
Enscape will also run where Windows 10 is installed on certain Intel Macs via Bootcamp
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 / Quadro RTX 5000 or an AMD equivalent GPU (eg. Radeon RX 6700 XT)
8GB VRAM

VR Headsets
Windows Mixed Reality Devices
HTC Vive and HTC Vive Pro
Oculus Rift and Rift S
Refer to the hardware requirements in our Virtual Reality Headset guide

Additional Software Requirements

The Enscape installer will check for the presence of additional software required to run Enscape. If that software is not present the installer will prompt you to download and install whatever is missing from your system.
For deploying Enscape via Command Line, here’s a list of that required software:

.NET Framework 4.5.2 or higher (already installed for Windows 10)
Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable
Vulkan Runtime

Unsupported Hardware

Radeon 6000 mobile GPU’s
Intel Integrated Graphics onboard GPU’s
SLI

Known Issues

DLSS is not supported on the NVIDIA GTX 1660 product line and although the GTX 1660 cards can run RTX features, you will likely experience many performance issues. In this scenario we highly recommend disabling RTX for these GPU’s.

MacOS

VR is not supported on Mac.

MacOS Monterey 12.2.1 and higher
